Dental Insurance
 We accept
all traditional Dental Insurance Plans that allow you to see the dentist of your choice. We do
participate in some dental PPO's however, we do not participate in the DMO plans.
We feel that DMO plans seriously restrict the quality of care that we can
provide for you.
Most dental insurance pays 80 to 100% of diagnostic and preventive care and a
percentage of the fee for most other treatment after, meeting a deductible
amount. Please understand that dental coverage works a bit differently than
medical coverage. While medical plans tend to have the patient pay a
co-pay and the plan covers the remaining, dental plans have the patient meet a
deductible--$50.00 to $100.00 is common--and then covers a percentage after the
deductible is met. It is important to know, however, that regardless of
how much your insurance might pay, the patient is always responsible for the
entire amount of the fee. Our insurance and billing staff is always available to
answer any questions you may have.
When crowns, bridges, root canals, dentures and other more expensive procedures
are performed, we request that you pay your estimated portion of the fee at the
time of service. After your insurance has paid its portion, any difference will
either be billed to you or returned as a refund. Our computer has the benefits
of hundreds of employers in the Cincinnati area and can generally estimate with
amazing accuracy the patient's portion of the treatment.
